DPV Adventure Dive

Experience the thrill of powered underwater exploration on a DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) dive at West Lake School House Park in Canandaigua Lake. Using our Dive Xtras BlackTip Exploration scooters, you’ll cover more distance with less effort, allowing for longer, more dynamic dives while conserving gas.

This site is well-suited for DPV diving, offering gradual depth changes, clear navigation references, and plenty of room to practice controlled scooter techniques. The dive emphasizes proper DPV handling, buoyancy, trim, team awareness, and safe speed management in a freshwater environment.

This is a guided advanced dive, ideal for certified DPV divers looking to build confidence, refine skills, and enjoy the unique freedom that DPVs provide. Expect a thorough briefing, safety review, and a dive that’s equal parts skill-building and pure fun.

Requirements

• DPV certification (or enrollment in our DPV course)

• Advanced Open Water (or equivalent)

• Solid buoyancy control and comfort in cold freshwater
