During this entry-level program, you will learn all you need to freedive safely with a buddy in a pool/confined waters up to a depth of 5 meters. Online training is combined with in-water practice sessions in this program, to give you all the skills and knowledge you need. Upon completion of the program, you will earn your SSI Basic Freediver certification.

The SSI Basic Freediver program and get certified to freedive safely with your buddy in a pool or confined water up to a depth of 5 meters (15 feet). You can upgrade easily to the Freediver (Level 1) certification at a later time. 

Ages: 10+

Required Swim Ability: Students should already have strong basic swimming skills. 

Session Length: Three, two-hour pool sessions with online academics. The final pool session can be taught in open water (quarry) in June through September. 

Gear provided during pool session: Weights and weight belt.

Gear needed to purchase: Mask (low-volume preferred), snorkel, fins (freediving preferred), and wetsuit (freediving preferred). Contact us for details.
