Course Description: Our Master Explorer course allows children to learn several different types of specialty diving skills. Students will finish this course by becoming a Master Explorer and receiving their official printed Master Explorer diver card. 

Age Restriction for Safety: Ages 6+.

Prerequisite: Children must have already completed the Snorkel Explorers (part of the SSI Explorers Starter Package). 

Pool Sessions & Recognition Badges: Classes consist of the following four, 2-hour pool sessions in a small group of four students and an aligned Ecology Workbook to complete at home. Students can earn up to 17 Explorer Recognition Badges. 

• Session 0: Students receive their Marine Ecology Color Booklet to Complete at Home. We will review two Explorer sections before each pool session. 
• Session 1: Boat Explorer & Navigation Explorer.
  • Ecology Booklet: Coral ID & Fish ID.
• Session 2: Night & Limited Visibility Explorer & Photo & Video Explorer.
  • Ecology Booklet: Manta & Ray Explorer & Marine Ecology Explorer 
• Session 3: Scooter/DPV Explorer & Underwater Communication Explorer.
  • Ecology Booklet: Marine Invertebrates Explorer & Marine Mammals Explorer 
• Session 4: Rescue Explorer & Master Explorer.
  • Ecology Booklet: Nudibranch Explorer, Sea Turtle Explorer, & Shark Explorer
