Course Description: The SSI Explorers starter package includes six pool sessions that teach your child how to snorkel, freedive, and swim like a merperson.

Ages: 6 - 11+

Prerequisites: Child can safely swim 40 feet without buoyancy aids or assistance. 

Pool Sessions & Recognition Badges: Class consist of the following six, 2-hour pool sessions in a small group of four students. Students can earn up to 7 SSI Explorers Reconition Badges (pictured above):

• Sessions 1 & 2: Snorkel Explorer & Blue Oceans Explorer
• Session 3 & 4: Freediving Explorer, No-Fins Explorer, Monofin Explorer, & Specialty Explorer
• Sessions 5 & 6: Mermaid Explorer

Materials Included with your Purchase: Instructional material and diving equipment is provided for your child. The following items are included in the course package for you to keep:

• Mask, Fins, Snorkel Set
• Mermaid Monofin
• Mermaid Tailskin
• SSI Explorers Book and Sticker Set

Additional Items Needed in Class: Towel, Swimsuit, Swim Goggles (optional), Neoprene Socks (optional), Wetsuit or Thermal Layer (optional)
